Why is the result sometimes approximate?
If you enter a size number or foot length that doesn't exactly match a table row (like 26.3 cm), the calculator picks the closest available size and flags the result as approximate. The difference is usually very small (under half a size) and doesn't matter practically.
How do I measure my foot length accurately?
Stand on a flat sheet of paper against a wall, place your heel flush with the wall, and mark the longest point of your toe. Measure the distance from the wall to that mark in centimeters. Repeat for both feet and use the larger measurement (many people have one foot slightly larger than the other).
Are clothing sizes the same across all brands?
Not at all. A size M from one brand can be noticeably larger or smaller than M from another (known as 'vanity sizing'). The numbers here are a common approximate average — the most accurate approach is always checking that specific product's and brand's own size chart before buying, especially when shopping online without trying it on.
Does this calculator cover children's sizes?
No, it currently covers adult men's and women's sizes only, for both shoes and clothing. Children's sizes use entirely different age-based tables and systems.
