Does profit tax apply to individual stock trading in Saudi Arabia?
Generally, Saudi Arabia doesn't impose capital gains tax on individual trading of local stocks through Tadawul — that's why this field defaults to zero. But if you trade in a registered commercial capacity, or trade foreign markets that do impose capital gains tax, different rules may apply to you — confirm your actual tax situation.
Why is the break-even price higher than my buy price?
Because commission is deducted twice — once on the buy, once on the sell — so the stock needs to rise enough to cover both commissions before you actually start making a profit, even if it 'sold at a profit' based on the apparent difference between the two prices.
Does the calculator support multiple trades or a full portfolio?
No, this version is designed for a single buy-and-sell trade (one entry, one exit). To analyze a full portfolio with multiple stocks, calculate each trade separately and sum the results, or use the average cost (DCA) calculator if you want to combine multiple purchases of the same stock before calculating profit.
